Vetina KBR 250mg 60ml Oral Suspension/500mg 60 tabs for dogs & cats

Vetina KBR is an epilepsy medicine for dogs & cats. KBR suspension as well as tabs contain Potassium Bromide, cyanocobalamin for management of epilepsy or seizures in dogs & cats. By preferential movement across neuronal membranes via gamma-aminobutyric (GABA) – activated chloride channels, bromide may aid in controlling seizures through hyperpolarization of neuronal cell membranes, leading to stabilization and decreased sensitivity of epileptic foci. Bromide ions compete with chloride transport across cell membranes resulting in membrane hyperpolarization, thereby raising seizure threshold and limiting the spread of epiliptic discharges.

Indications: Seizures/ anxiety.

Quantity: Available in 60ml suspension and 500mg tabs.

60ml suspension in each ml contains Potassium bromide I.P 250 mg Cyanocobalamin I.P 5 mcg Pyridoxine Hydrochloride I.P 5 mg Suspension base. q.s. Flavor: Butterscotch, Vanilla.

60tabs 500mg tablets each contains Potassium bromide I.P 500 mg Cyanocobalamin I.P 10 mcg Excipients q.s. Meat Flavored.

Dosage: As prescribed by veterinarian. Usual dosage to achieve serum level of approximately 1mg/mL is 120mg/kg daily for 5 days and 30mg/kg once daily after that.
