Critical care Herbivore Apple- Banana is the benchmark recovery food for herbivores like rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, squirrels, mice, iguanas, turtles or tortoises and other small herbivores with poor nutritional status resulting from illness or surgery. Critical Care contains all the essential nutrients of a complete diet, as well as high-fiber timothy hay to support proper gut physiology and digestion. Oxbow food is of super-premium quality and made with the choicest ingredients and this oxbow recovery food is no different. It has been made from high-quality high-fibre oxbow western timothy hay along with added antioxidants and prebiotics.
The powdered formula mixes easily for desired consistency and can also be fed by syringe or feeding tube to those unable to eat themselves. Contains readily absorbable chelated minerals and beneficial prebiotics. High in fibre, low in carbs. No refined sugars, artificial preservatives or simple carbohydrates. Comes with natural apple and banana flavor.
Feeding guidelines: Mix 1 part Critical Care powder with 2 parts warm water to the desired consistency. The volume of water may be adjusted depending on the feeding method – mix less water if feeding without syringe/tube. Herbivorous mammals: Mix 3 Tbsp per kg of body weight daily[1 Tbsp(tablespoon) is equal to approximately 9 grams] Herbivorous reptiles: Mix 1 Tbsp per kg of body weight daily.
