Nexgard chewable flea tick tablet is marketed in India by boehringer ingelheim. It contains afoxolaner that kills fleas, ticks, mites and other parasites from inside. FDA approved(NADA 141-406). Helps prevent lyme disease, tick fever, and protects against babesia canis or haemoprotozoa. Suitable for dogs & puppies above 3 months age. This is one of the most commonly recommended flea tick chewable in the US and other countries apart from India.
Nexgard can cause side effects in old/convalescent pets, hence use under vet guidance only. Long 1 month protection in each tab. Highly Palatable easy intake tablet.
Available in 4 variants: S – for dogs & puppies of weight 2-4kg(this variant contains 11.3mg afoxolaner in each tab), M – for dogs & puppies of weight 4-10kg(this variant contains 28.3mg afoxolaner in each tab), L- for dogs of weight 10-25kg (this variant contains 68mg afoxolaner in each tab) & another 1 XL for dogs of weight 25-50kg. (this variant contains 136mg afoxolaner in each tab).
Each chewable is formulated to provide a minimum afoxolaner dosage of 1.14 mg/lb (2.5 mg/kg). Afoxolaner has the chemical composition 1-Naphthalenecarboxamide, 4-[5- [3-chloro-5-(trifluoromethyl)-phenyl]-4, 5-dihydro5-(trifluoromethyl)-3-isoxazolyl]-N-[2-oxo-2-[(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)amino]ethyl.
