Izopet suspension or syrup from Intas is itraconazole oral solution BP 10mg which is recoomended for dogs, cats and other animals suffering from fungal infections. It stops fungal growth and infection in skin and other places. It weakens fungal membrane. It works better than ketononazole, fluconazole, terbinafine & griseofulvin in terms of dosage duration and spectrum of fungal agents.
Indicated for various medical conditions like dermatitis, yeast infection, valley fever, ringworm infection, Aspergillosis, Blastomycosis, Coccidioidomycosis, Cryptococcosis, Histoplasmosis, Pythiosis & Sporotrichosis.
Izopet suspension contains 10mg itraconazole/ml.
Dosage: Usual dosage is 5-10mg itraconazole/kg bodyweight for 15 days or more in several cycles. So, approx 0.5ml of izopet suspension per kg bodyweight or as prescribed by veterinarian. Can be given directly or mixed with food.
