The knob of this thermometer has to be inserted just a little into the anus of your pet to take body temperature and kept inside till the timer runs out. Do not use inside mouth of pet. It helps provide an accurate reading and comes with a low-battery indicator for battery replacement. Normal body temperature for dogs and cats is 101.0 to 102.5°F (38.3 to 39.2°C). Provides beep sounds against timings. Mercury-free thermometer prevents accidents. Useful in determining tick fever and other issues manifesting change in body temperatures.

While we are selling this for dogs & cats as it suits them, it can also be used in humans. Any reading above 102.5 F in this thermometer means fever in dogs. If your pet’s temperature rises above 104°F (40.0°C) or falls below 99°F (37.2°C) as per the LCD display reading in this thermometer, consult with a veterinarian immediately.
