Starting November 2018, we have disabled COD as a payment option for all orders on our site.
We have been getting many orders of products considerably heavy (10kg-50kg) and to remote locations where customer is either not reachable or untraceable during delivery. Add to that, fake orders from competitors.
Hence, we have made the decision to stop COD and in doing so, we believe we will be able to give better pricing and delivery times to our prepaid customers while keeping our overall margins same. Value for money has always been our USP. Most of our products are sold at prices much lower than most online stores and the money we will save from dispatching fake orders will be utilised in making real orders quicker, cheaper and with improved packaging.
Here is our upcoming COD policy for our buyers.
Buyers in Kolkata & Howrah:-
Since, we ourselves are from Kolkata, we deliver COD orders here by our own vehicles unlike outside WB orders delivered by third-party carrier partners like FedEx, Delhivery, Ekart, DTDC etc. For Kolkata buyers, just few minutes before delivery, we can call customer regarding delivery from our store while deciding with him/her/them the likely time of delivery according to their convenience and fake orders are removed as a result. Parcels take not more than 2 hours to reach customer once confirmed by call. So, buyers in and around Kolkata can avail COD at no extra cost for any product. To order by COD, text/Whatsapp? Cod for rest of WB can also be arranged on request.
Buyers in Rest of India(Outside WB):-
If you are from outside WB, you can order directly by online payment through Debit/Credit card [VISA,Mastercard,Rupay,Maestro], Net Banking, COD(at select pincodes), UPI(any UPI enabled app like BHIM, Tez, Truecaller), Wallets(Freecharge,Airtel,PhonePe,PayTM).
Prepaid orders are dispatched on priority even on national holidays and the freshest of stocks are given as their delivery is confirmed.
If you do not have online payment options or you are having trust issues in paying whole amount in advance because you have never shopped from us before, here is what you can do:-
If it a small product and we talk with you via phone/Whatsapp(make sure you are a real customer), it’s likely we will be dispatching the product asap.
If it is a big product weighing several Kgs, you will need to pay at least 2% of product price or Rs100 whichever is minimum, advance via online payment. Remaining amount can be paid during delivery by COD.
e.g For a 15kg Rs5000 product, you need to pay Rs100 online first while ordering, Rs4900 during delivery by cash.
In case of delayed delivery/ no product arrival/ product out of stock, advance amount will be refunded within 1 business day(no questions asked).
In case, delivery is attempted on time and you do not agree to pay or customer is untraceable/unreachable, the advance amount will be retained by us and product will be returned back to our warehouse.
